1972 Corvette with 78,382 original miles. Ontario Orange with Saddle interior. The survivor car has a base 350 with Turbo 400 transmission. Originally the car was purchased by Dr. Robert Barrett at Jerry's Chevrolet in Weatherford, Texas on 5/4/72. I believe I am the third owner of the car and I have had it for the past 10 or 11 years while driving the car about 1,500 miles or so total. Car has original wheels, beauty rings, center caps, bumpers and glass. I do not believe the car has ever been in an accident. I have the original sales material as well as the Protect-O-Plate issued to Dr. Barrett when he purchased the car new. Until about 4 years ago the car had the original paint and the tuck and roll interior the second owner, Eddie Wilhelm had installed in May, 1978. Since then I have had the car repainted, installed a new exhaust system with new mufflers and exhaust tips, added new Firestone tires (probably 500-1,000 miles on them), had new carpet installed, new seat covers and replaced the door panels with a pair of NOS panels I found online. The car now has a GM aluminum intake as well as an HEI distributor to make it easier to drive around town. I have the factory intake and the original distributor that will go with the car as well as the factory chromed distributor cover (I think...). This year I had the original Quadrajet rebuilt by Mr. Carburetor in Cedar Hill, TX, installed a front end suspension package to return the handling of the car to like new, rebuilt all four disc brake calipers and had the car aligned at Firestone.
